My experience with this project was great! I learned a lot, because I have only started doing animation for a year. I have been self taught in most areas of animation! I really appreciated the opportunity and I will do this again for the Connect Project in a heartbeat. Classic Favourite Movie: Titanic.
I was responsible for organizing tasks for the Creative Team and coordinating communications with the co-directors. My primary goal was to ensure the smooth progress of The Connect Project, particularly focusing on its completion in the post-production stage. My role has gone through several evolutions during my time with the Connect Project. I first started working with Kanika on the picturebook, sorting through the film footage to help her create a storyboard. We developed a close working relationship and I was invited to work as Kanika’s Assistant and Access Support, helping her manage digital communications and administrative duties across the entirety of Connect Project. I also was given the opportunity to produce several different initiatives including the building of this website, the open audio descriptions for the documentary film, and the audio documentary. I was brought onto the team towards the end of the project. I have enjoyed the process of considering what challenges and communication without languages look like. The process has led me down a rabbit hole of possibilities. Favourite Songs produced by Bob Marley.
